concert music
I can close my eyes and vividly remember being in conducting class and being assigned “Music from Scene II” from Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale to work on for next week. The music was / strange, highly abstract, yet evocative /. It took me a bit to realize that I loved it, and it had something that I had been looking for.

After this and the many classes that followed in my undergrad studies, I developed a keen interest in concert music composition, being especially fascinated with 20th-century composers such as Bartók, Ravel, Hindemith, and others. Aligning this with my passion for programmatic works, my biggest professional goal became writing a full operatic work.
In this section you will find the list of works I have written, and also a few live recordings to go with them.
